Our Story
We believe good design is about much more than making a space look beautiful.
It is about how your home makes you feel, how easily it works for your everyday life, and how it supports the people who live there.
Welcome to Blu Ink Interiors, a full service interior design firm specializing in interior design, custom cabinetry, and architectural lighting. Based in South Florida, we also serve clients in Savannah, Georgia, and beyond.
I’m Juanita Sierra, and together with my husband, Santiago Gomez, we founded Blu Ink Interiors in 2013 with a simple goal: to create homes that are beautiful, functional, personal, and designed around the people who live in them.
Design for Real Life
We love beautiful spaces. But beautiful is only one part of good design.
A kitchen can look amazing and still not have enough storage. A bathroom can be stunning but not function well for the people using it. A home can be completely renovated and still not feel like home.
That is why we start by looking beyond the finishes.
How do you live? What matters to you? What frustrates you about your current space? How do you want your home to feel?
Those answers become the foundation of the design.
And not every project needs to be a complete demolition. Sometimes the right solution is a full transformation. Other times, a new layout, better lighting, updated cabinetry, improved storage, or a few strategic changes can completely transform a space.
Good design is not about spending more. It is about spending thoughtfully.
In fact, not planning ahead or hiring the right team can end up costing more. Poor coordination, last minute changes, incorrect materials, and decisions made without considering the bigger picture can add unnecessary time and expense.
Our job is to help you make the right decisions before those problems happen.
Experience Meets Personal Design
I graduated from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and am a CAPS, Certified Aging in Place Specialist. I gained valuable experience working alongside high-end designers on residential and commercial projects, including Zaha Hadid's 1000 Museum, Casa Clara, Palazzo del Sol, Palazzo Della Luna, and custom cabinetry for Ornare's Miami Design District showroom.
Santiago brings the business side to our creative process. With an MIBA and Master's Degree in Accounting, he manages the financial and operational details that help keep projects organized and on budget.
Together, we bring both sides of the equation: creative design and thoughtful project management.
Our approach is rooted in Universal Design, with a focus on functionality, comfort, accessibility, and longevity. We work across many design styles because we don't believe your home should look like ours.
It should look and feel like you.
More Than a Beautiful Space
The spaces we create become part of everyday life.
They are where coffee is made, meals are shared, friends gather, children grow, and memories are created.
That is why we don't just design rooms. We design homes that support the lives happening inside them.
We create the blueprint of a home that features everyone. Togetherness.
And if we've done our job well, years from now you won't just remember what your home looked like.
You'll remember how it felt to live there.
