This past Wednesday we were invited to the South Florida Design Park's Winter Market. The Stark Carpet Showroom hosted the incredibly talented third generation designer Nicolette Mayer, and the early innovator in the field of digital printing in textiles Jonathan Ostrow.
Ostrow explained the Nicolette Mayer Collection is the first fully digitally printed éditeur fabric house in the industry. It offers an unlimited color palette, no repeat size limitations and a wide range of full, rich and deep colorations. The inspiration for the "Collections" design (The collection behind her in the picture on the left) is inspired by the uniqueness of the Delft blue and white plates, wall plaques, vases, and other key pieces from the original blue collection, according to Mayer.
The entire collection is made in the United States, grasscloth on paper, class A and sold exclusively in Stark Showrooms.It was a pleasure to meet them and learn about such innovative procedure. Its not only better in lead time, but also offers great variety of colors in one design.
Alan Blaustein, president of Luxe Interiors + Design, was also there to discuss a very interesting topic: " Secrets to using social media successfully to grow your business without spending a lot of money". Nowadays , social media is at the top ways to make your brand current, but you have to learn when and how to do it. He gave us incredible tips to stay up to date and post at the right times, without spending a fortune in marketing fees.
